The first Munich Venture Summit (MVS) was held on March 14th, 2009. In order to spark interest into the topic of founding one’s own business, especially during the downfall economy due to the financial crisis, students of Munich Business School organized the event with the slogan „Founding – especially now!“ (German: Gründen – jetzt erst recht!). The MVS 2009 took place under the patronage of Martin Zeil, the Bavarian minister of state for Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Transport Connections and Technology.

On February 27th, 2010, the Munich Venture Summit was held for the second time already. With the slogan “Founding – but sustainable” it has also been a great success and showed once again how up-to-date the topic is. That year’s event took place under the patronage of Dr. Norbert Röttgen, Federal minister for Environmental Affairs.

About 120 congress participants each year were fascinated by interesting speeches and workshops of well-known speakers to several topics such as founding a business, Internet startups and venture capital. In addition several networking possibilities and prospective collaborations were established while meeting over snacks and meals throughout the event.

“…it was awesome! Top speakers, delicious food and much more. Special thanks to the organization team of MBS innovate!”
